We are seeking a talented Art Director for our Creative Services team (Marketing) within the game publishing division of PLAION. In this role, you will create compelling visual designs and assets that align with our brand identity and engage our target audience. As the Art Director, you will be an integral part of a franchise team, collaborating closely with the Brand Manager to guide the artistic direction of our marketing campaigns across both external agencies and internal creative teams. Your role will ensure consistency, quality, and creative excellence across all visual elements.

Your Tasks
- Lead the development and implementation of artistic strategies for marketing campaigns, aligning with brand objectives and target audience preferences.
- Develop creative ideas based on criteria in the creative brief and direction from senior leadership and Brand Management, collaborating with team members and other departments.
- Collaborate closely with brand and marketing managers, graphic designers, and game release management to conceptualize and execute compelling visual concepts.
- Provide creative direction and guidance to the design team, ensuring all designs meet brand standards and project requirements.
- Develop mood boards and style guides to communicate artistic vision and maintain consistency throughout projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of visual content.
- Oversee the production process, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
- Develop strategies for art creation that balance high-quality visuals with efficient production methods to reduce workload without compromising quality.
- Implement best practices for art direction and production.
Your Profile
- Significant experience (5+ years) in art direction within the gaming industry or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong design portfolio showing concepts and designs for a variety of brand and marketing projects.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
- Advanced English language skills. German language skills are an advantage.
- Deep understanding of trends in the gaming and pop culture to identify opportunities.
- Excellent design and communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present creative ideas effectively to Senior Leadership, the Brand Manager, and the franchise team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with 3D modeling, animation, illustration, or digital painting is a plus.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles is beneficial.
