Your Tasks

Working within the Global Brand and Marketing Division alongside a team of Brand Managers, and reporting to a Head of Franchise, you will drive global the communications and messaging strategy for your portfolio of titles.
  • This is a strategic communications role with a global remit
  • Becoming a product expert for your portfolio, you will work closely with Brand and Studios to develop clear consumer-facing messaging that excites, educates and entertains
  • You will own the communication strategy for your titles, ensuring all messaging is compelling, authentic, accurate, timely and on brand
  • Your brief will include earned and owned channels, including press, events, social media and community, partners and influencers
Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Brand and Marketing team to deliver a coherent communication strategy that shapes the consumer's discovery and understanding of the product over the course of a campaign
  • Develop, craft and refine key messaging through constant and timely reporting and analysis of press and community feedback and sentiment
  • Embody and represent the tone and voice of the brand - draft and approve compelling copy for all purposes; press releases, blog posts, social content and product presentations and briefings to press and influencers
  • Take a stakeholder role in briefing, sourcing and approving relevant game assets including b-roll, screens, art etc., to meet PR and social needs
  • Craft the messaging documents needed to allow studio spokespeople to deliver our strategic messaging, and represent the brand / product and studio as a recognized expert / spokesperson where necessary
  • Work with the Events team to deliver press, influencer and consumer experiences across dedicated product events and industry tentpoles like Gamescom
  • With support from the Global PR Manager, brief and manage the relationship with global PR / Communications agencies and partners
  • With support from the Global PR Manager and Social Media Manager, drive PR, social and community teams to secure prominent share of voice and positive sentiment around all major marcomms beats
  • Develop / approve crisis messaging where necessary
  • Directly manage a Global PR Manager to support your role
  • Directly manage the Social Media / Community Manager(s) working at the coalfaces of communication, ensuing accuracy and creativity at all times, ensure that social channels reflect the brand tone of voice

Your Profile

  • 5+ years in a communications role, with a background in PR, social / community preferred
  • 3+ years in the gaming industry preferred
  • Experience launching AAA product with a major publisher or agency
  • Educated to Graduate level or a professional equivalent i.e. MBA
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
  • A strategic thinker; capable of building a high level campaign narrative while also delivering accuracy and attention to detail
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with multiple stakeholders including local teams, brand, development and partners
  • Copywriting skills - able to create compelling, accurate copy, or brief partners accordingly
  • A keen gamer, able to demonstrate a passion for gaming
  • In depth knowledge of the Western games market, with a deep knowledge and understanding of the gaming media landscape; press, community, influencer, partners and the communities around it
  • Good personal contacts across the industry - media, platforms, partners etc. a benefit
  • Fluent in English, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced with MS Office
