Your Tasks

The Consumer Insight Analyst is a newly created position which will help bring consumer insights to the heart of decision making at PLAION. Collaborating closely with the Consumer Insights and Brand Metrics Manager, this role will work on designing and executing market research projects internally as well as liaising with external agencies to provide audience insights for the brand and marketing team. As part of the wider Planning, Insights and Analytics (PIA) Team this role will play a key function of ensuring all of our marketing and publishing decisions are data driven and in-step with our audience.
 
Principle Accountabilities:
  • Working closely with the Brand and Marketing team and turning their inquiries into internal research projects with actionable insights to inform decision making
  • Designing and scripting surveys for fieldwork – either for wider gaming audiences or for subscribers to our email lists
  • Analysing data, deriving actionable insights and presenting results from these surveys to internal teams and development studios
  • For larger-scale projects understanding the needs of our Brand and Marketing Team and turning these into briefs for external agencies. Then helping to select which agency to move forward with and working with them throughout the project from questionnaire design to report delivery
  • Keeping across changes and advancements in the research field, identifying new agencies and methodologies to work with to help answer our questions in the most effective and efficient way
  • Various other work on audience analysis – such as using data from syndicated services – to help with audience targeting and wider projects with the PIA team

Your Profile

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of quantitative questionnaire design, data analysis and report writing
  • Experience of working with third-party suppliers
  • Minimum 1-2 years working in a marketing insights role either at a market research agency or in an insights/marketing department
  • Highly analytical and knowledgeable insights professional
  • Highly organised, methodical and results oriented
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation abilities
  • Professional and self-motivated team player
  • Ability to work across multiple projects with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong awareness, interest and knowledge of the global games industry
  • Familiarity with survey scripting platforms
  • Experience with qualitative research methodologies
  • Experience using MS Office (Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook)
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK and abroad as and when required (travel abroad likely 1-2 times a year)
