PLAION is a dynamic and diversified business in the global entertainment sector with over three decades of history. We specialize in publishing, development, and distribution of games, merchandise, and films. 

In alignment with our continued success, we are looking for a seasoned Key Account Manager to play an active role in building the foundation for our PLAION Partner business in what we describe as our “Eastern Europe PLAION Partner entity” – with headquarters in the Czech Republic. 

As a Key Account Manager Czech & Slovakia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global PLAION Partners strategy and business for the said territory; you are responsible for delivering the successful financial performance of that region in line with set quarterly and annual sales budgets and profit targets.

Main Tasks

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Deliver the annual and quarterly set financial targets for all product lines relating to the Sony Interactive Entertainment business for your region/s
  • Maintain contact with all major customers acting as the main liaison between PLAION and the market place
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with the managed customer account base, developing an in-depth understanding of their business processes and objectives
  • Develop, present, achieve and monitor business plans and objectives by managed accounts in line with the overall company objectives
  • Control and monitor all revenue aspects of accounts managed including revenue, profit, credits and returns, thus ensuring that overall company targets are met
  • Optimize trade-marketing budget application  and compliance for the account base
  • Work as a part of the Sales Department keeping other areas of the business such as marketing, logistics and finance aware of market information pertinent to their area of responsibility
  • Ensure a professional and positive approach with allocated account base to developing our business as a major distributor
  • Regular meetings with account personnel to ensure that all opportunities are maximized
  • Devise and implement promotional program within the agreed budget, with focus on planning, sell through and sell in ensuring full implementation in line with agreements.
  • Liaise with Operations / Purchasing teams to obtain clear, accurate and detailed market, and sell through data from designated accounts and work to facilitate efficient stock management
  • Ensure that financial risks in customer debts, stock holdings are fully understood and steps to mitigate risks are undertaken at all times

Skills and Qualifications

Person Specification:

  • A pro-active approach and a genuine interest in and knowledge of entertainment
  • A confident and strong communicator
  • A self-starter with a desire to make things happen with a competitive drive
  • Demonstrable successful track record in managing and building strong profitable relationships with customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive meeting and phone manner
  • Good understanding of product lifecycle within the entertainment Industry
  • Computer literate with knowledge / experience of database management
  • Excellent organizational skills & detail oriented
  • A professional and self-motivated team player

Experience/Qualification requirement: 

  • Proven track record of successfully managing major or key account retailers
  • Highly numerate and analytically minded with working understanding of profit and loss delivery in a sales environment
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple work steams and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation  and negotiation skills.
  • Experienced user of MS Office – Excel/Word/PowerPoint & Outlook365
  • A personal interest in interactive entertainment, consumer electronics & software is very desirable
