PLAION is a dynamic and diversified business in the global entertainment sector with over three decades of history. We specialize in publishing, development, and distribution of games, merchandise, and films.

In alignment with our continued success, we are looking for an experienced Marketing Director to lead all our PlayStation marketing activities for the territory of Poland, The Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.


Marketing Director's office will be located either in Warsaw or Olomouc, depending on the  preference of the candidate.

 

Main Tasks

As a Marketing Director, your primary role is to oversee and manage a team of marketeers with responsibility for the implementation and execution of the SIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment) marketing & PR strategy for the said territory.  This consists of bringing to life the PlayStation Brand, Hardware, Exclusive Games, Peripherals and partner Third Party games global marketing strategies locally by developing, augmenting and executing campaigns to ensure they create impact and resonate with locally audiences.

Skills and Qualifications

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Staff Management. Make sure to assign/KPI each staff in the department with quarterly/annual  targets, act accordingly to make sure these KPIs are meet, reviewed and followed up upon. 
  • Together with SIE partake in the setting of marketing budgets and prioritizations for the implementation and allocation of such throughout the financial year and throughout the lifecycle of each product. 
  • Responsible for planning and executing the portfolio of marketing and media campaigns across brand, hardware, software (including PC, peripherals and third party software) to help achieve marketing and business KPI’s across. 
  • Project manage the planning, briefing, localization and execution of global marketing campaigns coordinating multichannel outputs -and tracking approvals to ensure campaigns are delivered on time
  • Act as the Guardian/champion of the PlayStation brand. Being the champion for the PlayStation brand within the PLAION organization. Prepare & build up to date presentations and stand ready to present for both internal and external purposes. 
  • Work with SIE Global Marketing and Comms teams to disseminate product information and global strategies and to provide feedback on local market nuances.
  • Via your marketing team make sure to assist the PLAION Commercial team in the development of relevant campaign materials for retail channels. 
  • Develop a close relationship with locally based Third Party partners to effectively implement global marketing partnerships that meet global and local business KPI’s.
  • Participate in local/regional working groups to address business challenges/opportunities.
  • Continual analysis of competitive products and competitor activity across marketing, sales and PR to ensure PlayStation campaigns are delivering best-in-market results.
  • Prudent observation of finance processes including budget management, timely PR & PO processing, on-going analysis of open POs and invoice recognition to ensure balances are closed to allow for timely re-investment.
  • Manage agency relationships and performance in line with business objectives

Person Specification:

  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and pivot to respond to business demands in a dynamic and busy environment.
  • Excellent communication/written/presentation skills with high attention to detail. 
  • Power to work autonomously but collaboratively in a team environment with minimal direction.
  • Confident communicator with demonstrated ability to influence and manage stakeholders and external suppliers on a local and global level.
  • Ability to show initiative and be proactive, possessing a “can-do” attitude.
  • Naturally collaborative with a strong emphasis on building and leveraging relationships both internally and externally.
  • Appetite in consumer insights, leveraging data and experience to develop creative solutions in response to challenges and opportunities. 
  • An interest in video games and appreciation for interactive entertainment. Love for PlayStation a strong plus. 
  • Industry experience is highly regarded and a passion for the gaming industry is essential.
     

Experience/Qualification requirement: 

  • 5+ years of experience in a comparable position including proven track record.
